Terms of Service

Welcome to Video2ScreenshotTranscripts (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Video2ScreenshotTranscripts (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Terms of Service agreement (the "Terms") governs your access to and use of our website, applications, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
The Service provides tools that allow users to upload video files ("User Content") and convert them into a series of static screenshots and/or extracted text transcripts ("Generated Content") through an automated process.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age, or at least 13 years of age with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2.2 Account Responsibility
You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. User Content and Data Processing License
3.1 Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to your original video files and the Generated Content created from them. We claim no ownership over your User Content.
3.2 License to Us
To operate and provide the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as generating transcripts), and transmit your User Content. This license is granted for the sole purpose of providing and improving the Service for you.
3.3 Data Retention
We will store your User Content to provide you with ongoing access. If you choose to delete your account, we will initiate the process of deleting your User Content from our systems. Please be aware that it may take a reasonable period for the content to be completely removed from our active servers and backup systems.
4. Third-Party AI Services and Cross-Border Data Transfer
4.1 Third-Party Processors
To provide its core transcription features, the Service utilizes Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) from third-party AI service providers, which may include but are not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google (Gemini) ("Third-Party AI Services").
4.2 Consent to Cross-Border Data Transfer
Your User Content may be stored and processed on servers located outside of your country of residence. You explicitly understand, acknowledge, and consent that in order for us to process your request, your User Content (such as audio data from your videos) will be transferred to these Third-Party AI Services, which may be located abroad. The license you grant us in Section 3.2 includes the right to sublicense these rights to these Third-Party AI Services for the sole purpose of generating content for you.
4.3 Third-Party Terms
We do not control the operations of these Third-Party AI Services. Your interaction with them may be subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data handling practices, availability, or performance of any Third-Party AI Services.
5. Fees, Payment, and Billing
5.1 Pay-As-You-Go
The Service is billed based on your actual usage, such as the duration or volume of video processed. Specific billing rates are detailed on our pricing page.
5.2 Payment
You must provide a valid, authorized payment method. You authorize us to charge your usage fees through our designated third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe).
5.3 Refund Policy
As a general rule, all fees for services rendered are final and non-refundable, as we incur irreversible costs from Third-Party AI Services once your content is processed. However, we value service quality. If you believe the Generated Content is of severely poor quality due to a failure of our Service, you may contact support@video2screenshottranscripts.com within 72 hours of the transaction to request a refund. You will be required to provide evidence to support your claim (e.g., a comparison of the source video and the generated output). We will review each case individually and reserve the sole discretion to determine whether a refund is warranted. If your request is approved, we will refund the full amount for that specific transaction.
5.4 Taxes
You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes associated with your use of the Service.
6. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You are solely responsible for your User Content and your use of the Service. You agree not to use the Service to upload, process, or create any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or contains malware. You shall not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise interfere with the operation of the Service.
7. Service Limitations and Disclaimers
7.1 Disclaimer of Accuracy
The accuracy of automated transcription is affected by numerous factors, including audio quality, accents, and background noise. Neither we nor our Third-Party AI Service providers guarantee that Generated Content will be 100% accurate or complete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of the Generated Content before use.
7.2 "AS IS" Service
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
8. Termination
You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. THE COMPANY'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from or related to these Terms, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the People's Court in Longhua District, Shenzhen, People's Republic of China, for litigation.
